#16 Babson College 5, Connecticut College 2 Asplundh Scores Twice to Spark Camels in 2nd Half Rally

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Sophomore Lauren Drakeley (Woodbury, Conn.) scored a pair of first half goals to lead the 16th ranked Babson College field hockey team to a 5-2 victory at Connecticut College today.

Senior Kelsi McDougle (Hopedale, Mass.) chipped in with a goal and two assists while sophomore Ashley Tango (Reading, Mass.) dished out two helpers for the Beavers. Deirdre Berry (Longmeadow, Mass.) made four saves for the victors. Corinne Urisko (Princeton, N.J.) contributed with two saves in relief duty.

Connecticut College junior tri-captain Jacqueline Murphy (Danvers, Mass.) and sophomore Gabby Peterson (Worcester, Mass.) contributed with assists on Asplundh's second half markers. Senior tri-captain Ryley van der Velde (Louisville, Ky.) turned aside six shots for the hosts in the loss.

The Camels will host Middlebury College Saturday in a noon-time NESCAC match up on the Artificial Turf at Silfen Field.
