NEW LONDON, Conn.--Connecticut College senior tri-captain Ryley van der Velde has been honored with an appearance in the NESCAC's Friday Feature.

The senior from Louisville, Ky. will be looking to make history Saturday when the Camels host the #1 ranked team in the nation, defending champion Middlebury College.

Connecticut College last defeated back on November 2, 2002 when the Camels stunned the Panthers in overtime with a 5-4 triumph.  Ironically, that team was also captained by a Camel representing the Blue Grass State. Eleni Kotsonis of Louisville along with Christy Bassett served as team co-captains.

Former All-American Emily Huffman, who is the program's all-time leading scorer on a grass surface had a hat-trick in the victory.  She scored the trifecta 1:57 into the extra session.

The Camels and Panthers will clash in a noon-time match-up on the Artificial Turf at Silfen Field here in New London.
