Williams College 4, Connecticut College 1 Murphy Contributes with Goal & Three Defensive Saves for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.—Junior forward Hannah Goodrick (Darien, Conn.) scored twice and assisted on a third score to lead the Williams College field hockey team to a 4-1 victory at Connecticut College today.

The Ephs improved their record to 6-3 overall with a 3-2 mark in NESCAC play. The Camels fell to 1-7 and are 1-4 in conference action. 

Junior Alex Bennett (Rye, N.Y.) and Isabel Perry (Yorktown, N.Y.) chipped in with second half scores for the visitors.  Senior Margaret Draper (Belmont, Mass.) made seven saves in the win.  Allie Holle (Baltimore, Md.) contributed with two defensive saves for the visitors.

Connecticut College junior Jacqueline Murphy (Danvers, Mass.) supplied the offense for the Camels, burying a penalty stroke in the first half.  Murphy had three defensive saves for the Camels.

Senior Ryley van der Velde (Louisville, Ky.) made 13 saves in the loss for the hosts.
