Camels Reunite in New York City for Alumni Basketball Game

NEW YORK, N.Y.--The 2017 Connecticut College New York City alumni game, sponsored by the Camel Athletic Club and hosted by Ted Frischling '93 and Charles Stone '08, was played on Wednesday at the Dalton School Gymnasium.  Frischling is the athletic director at Dalton and Stone works in the school's physical education department.  Stone, along with former teammates Shavar Bernier '10 and Jahkeen Washington '07 are pictured above. 

Other attendees included: Bo McKinley '16, Carl Loop '77, Mizan Ayers, '02, Matt Vadas '15, Mason Lopez '15, Matt Fava '08, Aaron Taylor '01 (appearing in his final alumni game), Zuri Pavlin '17, Dan Janel '17, Craig Kaplan '93, Bryan Gregg '06 and Candace Taylor '13. Unable to attend but there in spirit were George Satran 'P94, Travis Reid '03, John Bullitt '15, Dwayne Stallings '99, Derrick Campbell '92, Rob James '93, Andy Chait '82 and former assistant coach Mike McSloy.  Current Connecticut College player and Bronx native Jeff Iyalekhue '18 attended as well.

Head Coach Tom Satran was pleased with the event.  "This game is quickly becoming a popular tradition.  Teddy and Charles make it very easy to execute and the efforts of the Camel Athletic Club have great potential to help the college and its athletic teams grow.  On a personal note, it is a great pleasure to see former players, managers and assistants together again and doing great things after Conn."
