NEW LONDON, Conn.--Junior net-minder Nathaniel Heilbron turned aside 32 shots to lead the 10th ranked Trinity College men's hockey team to a 7-2 victory against Connecticut College at Dayton Arena Saturday night.
Ethan Holdaway scored a pair of goals to lead the Bantam offense. Sophomore Ryan Cole and Sean Orlando both contributed with a goal and an assist while John Hawkrigg added two assists for the winning side.
Connecticut College executed on 2-of-5 power plays and were a perfect four-for-four on their penalty kill in the loss.
Holdaway and Cole scored 3:46 apart near the midpoint of the opening period and the Bantams carried a 2-0 advantage after one.
Tyler Whitney tallied just 30 seconds into the middle period to make it a 3-0 game. The Camels got one back with 12:50 to go when DiPretoro and JC Cangelosi assisted Giordano on a power play marker.
But the Bantams erupted for four scoring strikes in a 4:42 span of the third period to pull away for the 7-2 victory.
