Connecticut College 4, Manhattanville 3 Meltzer Leads Camels to 2nd Straight Road Win

RYE, N.Y.--Senior forward Sebastian Meltzer (Montreal, Que.) made the play of the night to lead the Camels in a 4-3 victory against Manhattanville College at the Play Land ice arena.

Meltzer was able to gain possession on his penalty kill and was awarded a penalty shot for his efforts with 9:17 remaining in regulation. The senior forward stuck a low shot between the pads for his second goal of the season.

Senior Joe Birmingham (Medford, N.J.) supplied two scores while newcomer Matt Michaud (South Portland, Maine) scored his third goal in the past two games for the Camels (3-6-2).

That was enough for senior Tom Conlin (Norwood, Mass.), who turned aside 20 shots in the win.

Sophomore forward Kevin Loppato (Atlanta, Ga.) scored twice to lead the Valiants in the loss. Sophomore Charlie Ryde (Stockholm, Sweden) potted his sixth goal of the season.

Rookie net-minder Tyler Feaver (Whitby, Ont.) made 14 saves in the loss for the Valians (8-5-1).

The Camels return home to host the Hawks from Saint Anselm College this Tuesday night for a 7:00 p.m. game in Dayton Arena.
