Connor Rodericks

HADLEY, Mass. – Connecticut College sophomore goalie Connor Rodericks (Buzzards Bay, Mass.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. He is the first Camel to be recognized by the conference with a weekly award this season.

Rodericks helped Connecticut College shut out nationally-ranked Hamilton, 3-0, and post a 3-2 triumph over Amherst by racking up 33 saves in each game. He posted a .971 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average even though the team was outshot 33-10 by the Continentals and 35-23 by the Mammoths. The sophomore most notably made 11 saves while the team was playing shorthanded against then-No. 9 Hamilton, including six during a penalty-killing stretch which lasted 3:20 overall and two full minutes with the Camels facing a 5-on-3 situation.

Connecticut College (5-8-0, NESCAC 5-3-0), which has won three straight contests against league opponents, visits Worcester State tomorrow evening at 7:00 p.m.
