NEW LONDON, Conn.—Williams College rookie midfielder John Hincks (Newtonville, Mass.) had four goals and two assists to lead the Ephs to a 16-13 victory against Connecticut College here in the Whaling City today. Hincks scored three of his four scores as a part of a 5-0 run that helped turned the tide for the visitors, who erased a 7-3 second quarter deficit.
Michael Fahey (Manhasset, N.Y.) equaled Hincks' output with four goals and two assists of his own. Brendan Hoffman (Darien, Conn.) had a hat-trick with three goals for the visitors.
Connecticut College sophomore Jordan Foster (Las Vegas, Nev.) finished with three goals and an assist in the setback. Sophomore PJ Kelleher (Walpole, Mass.) chipped in with two goals and one assist. Sean Smith (Pasadena, Calif.) scored twice for Connecticut College. Junior Ben Parens (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) won 23-of-32 face-offs with 10 ground balls. Alex Calabro (Newton, Mass.) had five ground balls and one assist.
Williams College rookie net-minder George Peele (Norwalk, Conn.) made 10 stops to earn the win for the Ephs in the cage. Sophomore Jameson Hill (Wilton, Conn.) made 12 saves for the Camels.
The Camels built a 3-2 lead after one quarter. In the second, the hosts scored three goals in a span of 1:29 to take a 7-3 advantage. Jackson Kleintz (Philadelphia, Pa.) made a nice pass to Jake Bank (Scarsdale, N.Y.) who buried one from the left side to put the Camels on top 7-3 with 10:29 remaining in the half.
