HADLEY, Mass. – Junior Jameson Hill (Wilton, Conn.) has been named the NESCAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. He is being recognized for the first time this season.
Hill helped Connecticut College register an 8-6 win over Bowdoin and snap a four-game losing streak against the Polar Bears. Even though the Camels were outshot by a 42-31 margin, Hill made 15 saves on 21 opportunities to keep his team in the game and allow the offense to score four consecutive goals in the third quarter which proved to be the difference. His .714 save percentage and 6.00 goals against average through the opening week of action are both NESCAC bests.
Connecticut College (1-0, NESCAC 1-0) next hosts Lasell, which participated in the NCAA Tournament last season, on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
