AMHERST, Mass. – Senior faceoff specialist Ben Parens (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) has been named to the All-New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Second Team, as announced by the regional organization earlier this week.
Parens ranked second in the NESCAC in faceoff wins (205) and third in ground balls (120) this past spring to help the Camels register their highest overall and conference win totals since 2013. The senior, who is also the only men's lacrosse player in school history to be named a USILA All-America First Team selection twice, ended his career with 868 faceoff wins to go along with 28 goals, three caused turnovers, and a school-record 475 ground balls.
Connecticut College (10-6, NESCAC 5-5) graduates eight seniors and is slated to return more than 30 letterwinners next spring.
