NESCAC Championship: #6 Wesleyan 9, #11 Connecticut College 0 Lillie, Moran Shine in Loss for Camels

HARTFORD, Conn.--The Connecticut College men's squash team dropped a 9-0 decision to Wesleyan University in the opening round of the 2016 NESCAC Championship at Trinity College Friday.

The sixth seeded Cardinals improved to 7-3 while the Camels slipped to 2-12 with the loss.

Junior tri-captain Matt Lillie (pictured, Weston, Mass.) and classmate Santiago Moran (Bronx, N.Y.) played the closest match ups for the Camels in their respective slots at number three and six on the ladder.

Lillie dropped an 11-6, 9-11, 11-3, 12-10 decision in four sets to Chris Hart. Moran battled to a fourth set in a 9-11, 11-3, 11-3, 11-9 loss to Zach Roach.

Coach Barry Ward and the Camels will play two more matches tomorrow at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn. Connecticut College clashes with ninth seeded Tufts tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m.  At 2:30 p.m. the Camels will clash with 10th seeded Hamilton.
