NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College men's squash team opened its season by taking two out of three matches on the road.
The Camels started the season of strong with an 8-1 win against Vassar and a 9-0 triumph over Haverford. The Camels posted 5-4 wins against Haverford last year on two separate occasions. Sunday, the Camels played well in a 9-0 loss to Bates. There were some strong performances against the Bobcats with freshmen Jay Carrasquillo the only player to take a game from his Bates opponent.
The three freshmen in the line-up Mikey Rodriguez, Samuel Piller and Carrasquillo all got through the nerves of playing their first college matches, performed well and took home some valuable experience for the rest of the season.
Up next is a match against the Northeastern University Huskies Saturday, December 3
