NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's squash team will look to be competitive when it treks to Middlebury to compete at the NESCAC Championships this weekend.
Connecticut College (4-7), which is seeded ninth for the first time since 2008, will begin competing at the three-day, double-elimination event when it faces No. 8 seed Colby on Friday at 6 p.m. The Camels will look to avenge a 9-0 loss to the Mules from earlier this season on the bigger stage.
The team this year has featured a blend of veterans and youth. Freshmen MD Jawad (New Haven, Conn.) and Billy Fleurima (Bronx, N.Y.) have regularly been competing at the top two positions, while juniors and seniors such as Scott Brown (Old Greenwich, Conn.) and Samuel Piller (Charlottesville, Va.) have added depth and found success from the middle spots of the lineup.
