Men's Squash Drops NESCAC Championship Opener to Colby

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Connecticut College men's squash team fell to Colby by a 9-0 score in the opening round of the NESCAC Championships on Friday evening.

Despite being blanked for the second time this season by the Mules, the Camels still got a notable effort from Tommy Whittemore (West Hartford, Conn.). The freshman went the distance at the No. 7 position before ultimately falling by set scores of 12-14, 6-11, 17-15, 11-2 and 11-2.

Connecticut College (4-8), which is seeded ninth in the field, will play two games in the consolation bracket on Saturday. The Camels will first face Hamilton at 9 a.m. before wrapping up tournament play against Wesleyan at 11:15 a.m.
