Men’s Squash Opens CSA Nationals With 5-4 Triumph Over Wesleyan

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore James Andrew (Dover, Mass.) pulled out a four-set victory from the No. 4 position to lead the Connecticut College men's squash team to a 5-4 victory over Wesleyan in the opening match for both schools at the CSA Nationals being hosted by Yale.

Andrew defeated William Bienstock by set scores of 11-8, 1-11, 11-7, and 13-11 to help the Camels avenge a recent loss to the Cardinals at the NESCAC Championships. Junior Mikey Rodriguez (New Haven, Conn.), senior Scott Brown (Old Greenwich, Conn.), junior Samuel Piller (Charlottesville, Va.) and freshman Tommy Whittemore (West Hartford, Conn.) also earned victories in their respective matches from the No. 3, No. 5, No. 6 and No. 8 spots.

Connecticut College (9-9) will next face Dickinson in the semifinals of the Conroy Cup bracket at CSA Nationals tomorrow evening at 7 p.m.
