Pite Leads Camels to 2nd Place Finish in Connecticut Cup

MIDDLETOWN, Conn.--The Connecticut College men's swimming team scored 524 points to place second in the Connecticut Cup at Wesleyan this weekend.

Junior All-American AJ Pite (Orange, Conn.) posted victories in both the 200 and 400 yard IM with respective times of 1:57.31 and 4:12.48.  

Senior All-American Mike Fothergill (Medford, Mass.) won the 50 yard backstroke in 25.25 seconds.

In the 100 yard free, junior All-American George Tilneac (New York, N.Y.) posted a victory in 47.50 seconds. 

In the 200 yard free relay, Tilneac, Trebor Lawton (Gorham, Maine), Fothergill and Niko Brosnihan (Troy, N.Y.)  posted a victory in 1:27.25 for the Camels.

Pite, Lawton, Tilneac and Fothergill triumphed in the 400 yard free relay for Connecticut College.
