Basch/Sokolsky Post Perfect 4-0 Records at Home Tournament for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College men's tennis team co-hosted a tournament with the Coast Guard for the second consecutive week. It was another successful weekend for the Camels.

Junior Jeff Basch (Elking Park, Pa.) and freshman Jonathan Sokolsky (Great Barrington, Mass.) were both perfect with 4-0 records to lead the Camels.

Basch and Sokolsky combined on two wins in the third doubles bracket. In singles action, Basch posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory in his first round match up versus the Coast Guard before closing out the weekend with a 3-6, 6-4, 10-7 triumph against Babson.

Sokolsky collected a 6-0, 6-1 win against Oneonta and added a 6-1, 6-3 triumph over Babson in the second round. 

Josh Suneby (Wellesley, Mass.) posted a 2-2 record in combined action. JC Cangelosi (Estero, Fla.) continues to excel at #2 and finished with a 3-1 mark.  Sophomore Jonathan Kraiger (Springfield, Vt.) posted a 3-1 record in combined play for the Camels between third singles and #1 doubles.

Playing at #4 singles and #1 doubles, Jonathan Deeter (La Quinta, Calif.) was equally impressive, finishing 3-1 for the weekend.
