Connecticut College 5, Hamilton College 4 Camels Celebrate With First NESCAC Win

NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College men's tennis team battled back from a 2-1 deficit to hold off Hamilton College in a 5-4 NESCAC victory Saturday night.

The Camels evened their record at 7-7 (1-6 NESCAC), while the Continentals fell to 9-11 with a 0-7 mark in conference play. 

Junior JC Cangelosi (Estero, Fla.) gutted out a 6-1, 7-6 victory at second singles, while sophomore Jonathan Kraiger (Springfield, Vt.) outlasted his opponent in a 6-4, 7-6 battle at third singles for the Camels.

Jonathan Deeter (La Quinta, Calif.) contributed with a 6-1, 7-6 triumph at number four. 

Senior Will Tucker (London, U.K.) posted a 6-3, 6-2 win at number six singles in the final NESCAC match of his career for Connecticut College.

Cangelosi joined forces with Josh Suneby (Wellesley, Mass.) in securing another Camel triumph in an 8-3 triumph at number two doubles. 

The Camels will visit Ithaca College tomorrow afternoon for a 2:00 p.m. match in the Empire State.
