Connecticut College 9 Westminster (Pa.) 0 Sachs, Brown & Cissel Lead Camels to Victory in Palmetto State

HILTON HEAD, S. C. -- Ben Sachs (Mount Kisco, N.Y.) cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 straight set victory at number one singles while sophomore Scott Brown (Old Greenwich, Conn.) took care of business with a 6-4, 6-0 triumph at second singles to lead the Connecticut College men's tennis team in a 9-0 blanking of Westminster College in Hilton Head Island, S.C. this morning.

The Camels evened their record at 1-1 with their triumph in the Palmetto State while the Titans slipped to 0-3 in the early season. 

Sophomore Johnny Cissel (Amherst, N.H.) secured a convincing 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. Junior captain Patrick Farrell (Smithtown, N.Y.) posted a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at fourth singles for the Camels. At fifth singles, senior Will Kadison (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) notched a 6-1, 6-2 win for Connecticut College.

Rookie hitter William Feigert (McLean, Va.) was dominant in his 6-0, 6-0 shutout win at sixth singles. 

In doubles action, Cannon and Daniel Maffa (Lexington, Mass.) posted an 8-4 victory at number one doubles for the winning side. Charlie Williams (Mercer Island, Wash.) and Sachs joined forces to take an 8-0 win at second doubles for the Camels.
