NORTH EASTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team competed at the Stonehill Doubles Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Camels sent 10 student-athletes to the tournament.
Senior Ethan Hecker and classmate Zak Danz led the way for the program by winning the C bracket. The duo defeated Nick Lisichenok and Joey Conrod of Stonehill by an 8-5 score in the championship match.
Other notable performances were made by senior Patrick Farrell and freshman Henry DeCoster. The pair advanced to the finals of the B bracket by getting past Laurent Ruttkowski and Santiago Caurero of Eastern Nazarene in an 8-6 triumph before dropping the title match to Danny Waung and Max Francis of Assumption by an 8-4 decision.
The Camels will now prepare to co-host a tournament with Coast Guard on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 10:00 a.m.
