LeDuc Wins in 3000 at New England Division III Championship

LEWISTON, Maine.--Mike LeDuc (Canton, Conn.) posted a time of 8:30.30 en route to a victory in the 3000 meter run at the New England Division III Championship hosted by Bates College Saturday. The Camels finished in a tie for 11th place with a score of 22 points.

The Camels enjoyed their finest performance at a New England Division III Indoor Men's Championship, scoring the most points and earning the highest team place finish in program history.

In the 1000 meter run, senior Tristan Cole (St Helen, Calif.) placed fifth with a time of 2:33.78 for the Camels. Patrick Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) posted a time of 15:05.19 en route to his fifth place scoring in the 5k.

Senior Andrew Duarte (Rocky Hill, Conn.) logged a time of 4:17.75 en route to his sixth place finish in the one-mile run for the Camels.

In the distance medley relay, the Camel quartet consisting of Tristan Cole, Geoff Phaneuf (Woonsocket, R.I.), Niall Williams (Niskayuna, N.Y.), and Andrew Duarte posted a time of 10:29.85 en route to their eighth place scoring.

All of the aforementioned Camels are recognized with All-New England Division III accolades for scoring among the top eight Saturday.
