PRINCETON, N.J.--Senior Michael LeDuc (Canton, Conn.) posted a time of 8:56.48 to win the 3000 meter steeplechase at the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton University Friday night.
LeDuc qualified for the NESCAC, New England Division III, Eastern College Athletic Conference and the All-New England Championships with his winning time in the Garden State.
LeDuc, the reigning national champion in the steeplechase, moved to the top of the NCAA Performance List with his victory.
The rest of the team competed in the Wesleyan University Invitational Saturday.
Dan Gossels (Sudbury, Mass.) set a personal record with his victory in the 3000 meter steeplechase in Middletown, posting a 10:37.94 to qualify for the NESCAC Championship.
In the 4x400 meter relay, Nick Fischetti (Groton, Mass.), Geoff Pendergast (Weston, Mass.), Ian Rathkey (Old Lyme, Conn.) and Chris May (Hudson, Ohio) posted a season best time of 3:29.38 in another victory.
Pendergast placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.11 seconds to earn an invitation to the NESCAC Championship.
The Camels added three third place scorings. Fischetti finished third in the 110 meter hurdles (18.44 seconds) while Brad DeMarco (Weston, Conn.) took third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:07.70.
Rathkey finished third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.69 seconds.
