BRUNSWICK, Maine.--The Connecticut College men's track and field team opened the 2015 indoor season with a tri-meet at Bowdoin College Saturday.
The Camels placed second behind the Polar Bears with a score of 107 points. Bowdoin finished with 300 points in the win. The University of Maine-Farmington scored 41 points en route to its third place showing.
Trapp posted a time of 1:59.08 to win the 800 meter run while Dermody placed fifth in the 3000 meter distance with a time of 8:54.22 for the Camels.
Junior Nick Fischetti (Groton, Mass.) reached his apex at nine feet and one quarter of an inch to win the pole vault.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the Camel quartet comprised of sophomore Andrew Peterson (Wallingford, Conn.), Nick Fischetti, Brent Lo (Arlington, Mass.) and Sam McKeown (South Windsor, Conn.) posted a winning time of 3:45.89.
The Camels had three second place scorers Saturday.
Barnes posted a time of 2:04.80 to finish second behind Trapp in the 800 meter run. In the one mile run, Bosworth logged a time of 4:29.10 en route to his second place scoring. Peterson posted a time of 54.49 seconds to finish second in the 400 meter dash for the Camels.
