MEDFORD, Mass.—Sophomore Ben Bosworth (Dorchester, Mass.) posted a winning time of 8:44.64 in the 3000 meter run at the Tufts University Indoor Track & Field Invitational in Medford, Mass. Saturday.
With his winning mark, Bosworth earned invitations to the New England Division as well as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.
The Camels placed sixth in the 15 team field with a score of 37 points.
In the 1000 meter run, freshman Connor Trapp (Wilmette, Ill.) placed third with a time of 2:32.59 to earn an invitation to the two aforementioned championships.
Senior Pat Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) placed eighth in the one mile run with a time of 4:29.21.
In the 5000 meter run, sophomore Alejandro Hernandez (Miami, Fla.) was fifth with a time of 15:56.72. Senior Michael Joyce (Wallingford, Conn.) placed sixth in the 5k with a time of 16:15.34 for the Camels.
Connecticut College scored in three relays Saturday.
In the 4x200 meter relay, freshman Aidan Cort (Wellesley, Mass.), Jamie McElhiney (New York, N.Y.), Christian Whitaker (Dolton, Ill.) and Alex McGuirk (Lakeville, Mass.) placed seventh with a time of 1:42.31.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the Camel quartet comprised of Andrew Peterson (Wallingford, Conn.), Connor Trapp, Brent Lo (Arlington, Mass.) and Geoffrey Pendergast (Weston, Mass.) posted a time of 3:42.91 en route to their sixth place scoring.
