BRUNSWICK, Maine.--The Connecticut College men's track and field team scored 32 points to place seventh out of 10 teams at the Bowdoin College Invitational Saturday night.
It was a big night for the 4x800 meter relay team. Sophomore Connor Trapp (pictured, Wilmette, Ill.), junior Ben Bosworth (Dorchester, Mass.), Jordan Comeau (Winchendon, Mass.) and Williams cruised to a victory in 8:01.02. In the 1000 meter run, Trapp earned invitations to the New England Division III and ECAC Championships with his second place finish in 2:31.14. Bosworth placed 2nd in the one-mile run, earning invitations to the New England Division III, ECAC and All-New England Championships with a time of 4:16.24.
Senior Niall Williams (Scotia, N.Y.) continued to build on his success this year, placing fourth in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:42.63. Williams earned invitations to the New England Division III as well as the ECAC Championship. Freshman Price Day (Harvard, Mass.) placed seventh in the 3000, earning an invitation to the New England Division III Championship with a time of 8:50.17. Juniors Alejandro Hernandez (Miami, Fla.) and Raymond Rich-Fiondella (North Haven, Conn.) placed fifth and sixth for the Camels in the 5000 meter run, crossing the finish line with respective times of 16.11.13 and 16.12.01.
In the 4x400 meter relay, Andrew Peterson (Wallingford, Conn.), Arlo Siegel (Florence, Mass.), Christian Whitaker (Dolton, Ill.) and Nick Fischetti (Groton, Mass.) placed fifth with a time of 3:32.38.
