CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—The Connecticut College 4x800 meter relay team comprised of sophomore Connor Trapp (Wilmette, Ill.), senior Niall Williams (Scotia, N.Y.), freshman Price Day (Harvard, Mass.) and junior Ben Bosworth (Dorchester, Mass.) placed second with a time of 7:50.39 at the New England Division III Championship hosted by MIT this weekend.
All four Camels are honored as All-New England Division III performers for scoring at this weekend's championship.
The Camels finished in a 10th place tie with WPI, scoring 21 points at the Championship in the Bay State.
In the 1000 meter run, Williams posted a time of 2:29.33 en route to a second place scoring as he continues to build on a huge senior season for the Camels.
Bosworth placed fifth in the one-mile run, clocking in with a time of 4:28.21.
In the 800 meters, Trapp posted a time of 1:57.10 to finish in eighth place at the championship.
In addition to their scoring, senior Nick Fischetti of Groton, Mass. set a school record in the heptathlon, placing ninth with a score of 4015 points.
In the 4x400 meter relay, Raymond Rich-Fiondella (North Haven, Conn.), Dan Burns (Alexandria, Va.), Arlo Siegel (Florence, Mass.) and Andrew Peterson (Wallingford, Conn.) posted a time of 3:42.46 for the Camels.
Sophomore Jordan Comeau (Winchendon, Mass.), Christian Whitaker (Dolton, Ill.), Sam McKeown (South Windsor, Conn.) and Ryan Dean (Leeds, Mass.) placed 10th in the distance medley relay with a time of 10:58.97
