MIDDLETOWN, Conn.--Connecticut College freshman Price Day (pictured, Harvard, Mass.) posted a time of 8:56.20 en route to his second place finish in the 3000 meter run at the Wesleyan University Invitational today.
In the 4x100 meter relay, Blake O'Neal (Houston, Texas), Nick Fischetti (Groton, Mass.), Chris Conner (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Christian Whitaker (Dolton, Ill.) placed third for the Camels with a time of 45.77 seconds. In the 200 meter dash, Whitaker placed seventh with a time of 23.45 seconds. Whitaker posted a time of 11.60 seconds to finish eighth in the 100 meter dash.
Conner covered a distance of 40 feet, three and one quarter of an inch to place sixth in the triple jump. In the 4x400 meter relay, senior Dan Burns (Alexandria, Va.) Andrew Peterson (Wallingford, Conn.), Arlo Siegel (Florence, Mass.) and Austin DiMartino (West Haven, Conn.) placed sixth with a time of 3:43.06 for Connecticut College.
Raymond Rich-Fiondella (North Haven, Conn.) placed seventh in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:11.13.
The Camels posted numerous qualifying marks for the upcoming NESCAC Championship that will be hosted by Amherst College April 30. Whitaker had his ticket stamped in both the 100 and 200 meter dash. Conner earned his invitation in the triple jump. Mike D'Onofrio (East Haven, Conn.) and Jonathan Handy (Hingham, Mass.) both qualified in the javelin throw.
