DiMartino Sets Personal Record in Heptathlon at NEICAAA Championship for Camels

BOSTON, Mass.--The Connecticut College men's track and field team visited Roxbury Crossing and the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center to compete in the NEICAAA (All-New England Including D. 1, 2, 3) Championship today.

Sophomore Austin DiMartino (West Haven, Conn.) had a nice weekend in the heptathlon, piling up 3,908 points in a 10th place finish for the Camels. This was a 392 points improvement over his previous record. It moves him into second place behind his mentor Nick Fischetti '16 of Groton, Mass. DiMartino posted personal records in five events: the long jump, the shot put, the high jump, the 60 meter hurdles, and the 1,000 meters along with an indoor pr in the pole vault.

 In the 500 meter run, Andrew Peterson (Wallingford, Conn.) placed ninth with a time of 1:06.36.
