NEW LONDON, Conn. -- It's an exciting week for the Connecticut College men's and women's track & field program with the NCAA Championship set to get underway Friday in Naperville, Ill. Five Camels have been honored on the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region Team.
Connecticut College seniors Bella Franz (Water Mill, N.Y.) and Ben Bosworth (Dorchester, Mass.) were both honored and have qualified for the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship in the one mile run. Franz was also honored for her performance in the 800 meter run.
Senior Ashley Curran (Franklin, Mass.), a three-time NCAA qualifier in cross country and four-time combined national qualifier between cross country and track, was feted for her performance in the 5000 meters.
Senior Lauren Kennedy (pictured, East Longmeadow, Mass.) and rookie thrower Koko Mensah (Orange, Conn.) capped off a terrific seasons as All-Region performers in the shot put.
Both Franz and Bosworth will be running their trials Friday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
