Mason, Bosworth Lead Camels to 15th Place Finish at New England D. III Championship

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.—Scott Mason (Wyndmoor, Pa.) posted a time of 9:23.68 in the 3000 meter steeplechase to place third for the Camels in the New England Division III Championship at Williams College this weekend. In the 1500 meters, senior Ben Bosworth (pictured, Dorchester, Mass.) placed fourth in 3:54.08, moving up to 31st place on the national performance list.

The Camels placed 15th out of 32 scoring teams with their 18 points at the Championship. In the decathlon, sophomore Austin DiMartino (West Haven, Conn.) set a personal record, placing fifth for the Camels with 5137 points. In the 5000 meters, Danny Aschale (Cambridge, Conn.) continued to impress in his nascent career for the Camels, placing seventh in 15:05.70. 

Senior Zander Mintz (East Windsor, N.J.) had a huge weekend for the Camels, finishing eighth in the 10,000 meters with a time of 32:00.13. Classmate Alex Hernandez (Miami, Fla.), who was recently recognized as an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar for the third time with the Camel Athletic program, posted a personal best time of 32:06.17 in the 10000 meters today.

Sophomore Mike D'Onofrio (East Haven, Conn.) threw the javelin 155 feet, two inches for the Camels. 

All of the Camels who place in the top eight are recognized as All-New England Division III honorees.
