NEW LONDON, Conn.--Connecticut College senior Ben Bosworth of Dorchester, Mass. has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Division III Academic All-District® 2 First Team in track & field/cross country.
Bosworth garnered First Team All-NESCAC honors on the cross country trails with his sixth place finish at the conference championship October 29. He qualified for the 2017 NCAA Indoor Championship in the one mile run this past winter. At the 2016 NCAA Indoor Championship, Bosworth and the Camel distance medley relay team placed ninth, finishing just .01 seconds off of the All-American pace. This DMR Team posted the fastest time on a banked track in 2016.
Bosworth has been honored twice on the All-NESCAC Track and Field Team earning conference accolades in the 4x800 meter relay as well as the 1500 meters. He is a nine-time combined All-New England Division III honoree between cross country and track and field. Bosworth has earned All-New England (D. 1, 2, 3) honors in the 5000 meters and the distance medley relay.
Bosworth served as a leader and captain of both the cross country and track and field teams. He received his degree in economics and also carried a minor in history.
