Men’s Track & Field Competes at Tufts Final Qualifying Meet

MEDFORD, Mass. – Select members of the Connecticut College men's track & field team competed at a final qualifying meet hosted by Tufts University.

Junior Scott Mason (Wyndmoor, Pa.) provided top highlight by finishing third in the 3,000-meter run in 8:22.73. Senior Connor Trapp (Wilmette, Ill.) completed the mile in 4:23.73, while senior Christian Whitaker (Dolton, Ill.) ran the 400-meter dash in 52.33 seconds.

Connecticut College will now wait to see who it will send to the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships next weekend in Birmingham, Alabama. Mason currently ranks eighth nationally in the 3,000 and sophomore Danny Aschale (Cambridge, Mass.) is 14th in the 5,000. The list of official qualifiers is slated to be released by the NCAA on Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.
