HANOVER, N.H. – Sophomore Danny Aschale (Cambridge, Mass.) of the Connecticut College men's track & field team raced to a third-place finish in the 5,000-meter run at the New England Championships on Friday evening.
Aschale, who was competing in the event for the second time this spring, punched in a time of 14:31.29 at the championship meet. The mark ranks among the top 15 nationally and is also a 27-second improvement since he previously completed the race at the Silfen Invitational on Apr. 13.
Select members of the Connecticut College men's track & field team will next compete at a final qualifier meet hosted by MIT on Thursday, May 17 at 5:00 p.m.
