Men’s Track & Field Begins Indoor Campaign at Tri-Meet With Trinity and Wesleyan

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's track & field team began its indoor season at a tri-meet with Trinity and Wesleyan on Friday evening.

Ian McAleer (Newfields, N.H.) led the Camels by posting a pair of strong finishes in a pair of sprinting events. The sophomore won the 200-meter dash in 23.11 seconds and set a school record in the 60 by hitting the tape in 7.34.

In the field, senior Austin DiMartino (West Haven, Conn.) won the shot put with a launch that sailed 36-feet, 6.75-inches. He also finished second in the pole vault by clearing 11-5.75.

Connecticut College will break for final exams and will next compete at the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 12.
