PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Connecticut College men's water polo team dropped its final match of the season by an 11-5 score to No. 14 Brown on Wednesday evening at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
After surrendering the first goal, Brown rattled off 10 straight and never looked back. The Camels answered with four straight goals of their own to pull within five, but the deficit was just too large to make a rally.
Three Connecticut College players factored into a pair of goals. Sophomore Sean King (La Canada, Calif.) found the back of the net twice, senior Stephan Cress (Rockford, Mich.) provided a goal and an assist, and classmate Jake Pescatore (New Haven, Conn.) set up two markers. Senior Matthew Wagman (Atlanta, Ga.) turned away four shots in his final match as a collegian.
Connecticut College (8-15) graduates its winningest class in school history – Dylan Pinckert (Long Beach, Calif.), Cress, Pescatore and Wagman – and is slated to return seven letterwinners next season.
