Alice Denny enters her third season as the assistant men’s and women’s water polo coach at Connecticut College in 2018-19. She is responsible for assisting head coach Matt Anderson with all aspects of both teams.
The Camel programs have excelled and shown significant improvement since Denny joined the coaching staff. The men have won 19 matches in two seasons, which including boosting the program’s win total from one to 11 in her first year, while the women have finished as high as second at the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Tournament. Furthermore, both programs have produced one Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-American and two All-America Honorable Mention selections.
Prior to coming to Connecticut College, Denny gained valuable coaching experience teaching boys and girls in her hometown of Mundelein, Illinois. She was the assistant girls coach in 2013 and 2014 as well as the head boys coach beginning in 2014 at Mundelein High School.
As a collegian, Denny played on the Division I varsity women’s water polo team at Hartwick for head coach Alan Huckins. The Hawks posted a combined record of 51-17 during her two seasons of action in 2010 and 2011.
Denny received a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in environmental science and policy from Hartwick in 2013.
