WATERFORD, Conn.--Michael LeDuc of Canton, Conn. posted a time of 24:54 on the 8k course at Harkness State Park to win the individual title in convincing fashion at the Connecticut College Invitational.
The Camels placed third in the 21 team field with a score of 140 points.
The Keene State College Owls placed three of its runners among the top 12 to win the Invitational with 74 points. The Coast Guard bears finished a close second with 77 points, landing two harriers in the top six.
Sophomore Patrick Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) continued to build on his breakout season, finishing ninth with a time of 25:40. First year harrier Ben Bosworth (Dorchester, Mass.) chipped in with his 15th place finish in 26:02 for the Camels.
LeDuc, Dermody and Bosworth were all honored on the All-Invitational Team for finishing in the top 15.
Zander Mintz (East Windsor, N.J.) and Billy Barnes (New York, N.Y.) finished with respective times of 26:49 and 26:50 in 59th and 60th place for the hosts.
Niall Williams (Scotia, N.Y.) was the sixth Camel finisher in 77th place with a time of 27:18.
Brad DeMarco (Weston, Conn.) posted a time of 27:48 to finish in 114th place for the Camels.
Aaron Davis of New London was the eight Camel to the finish line with a time of 28 minutes flat in 128th place for Head Coach Jim Butler's Camels.
