BRONX, N.Y.--The Connecticut College men's cross country team visited the Bronx Saturday to compete in the 20th Annual Br. John "Paddy" Doyle/Iona College Meet of Champions.
The Camels placed 15th in the field of 22 teams that included numerous Division I programs.
The University of Arkansas scored 46 points to win the meet. The Rams from Fordham University placed second with a score of 67 points, while Brown finished third with 96 points.
Sophomore Ben Bosworth (Dorchester, Mass.) posted a time of 27:17 to lead the Camels in 66th place on the 8k course. Senior Patrick Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) was the 88th finisher Saturday with a time of 27:42. Niall Williams (Scotia, N.Y.) finished in 28 minutes flat in 105th place.
Freshman Connor Trapp (Wilmette, Ill.) posted a time of 28:05 en route to his 108th place showing. Sophomore Zander Mintz (East Windsor, N.J.) was next in 132nd place with a time of 28:33. Alejandro Hernandez (Miami, Fla.) finished in 134th place with a time of 28:40.
Brad DeMarco (Weston, Conn.) finished in 159th place with a time of 29:27.
The next two teams to finish after the Camels were Division I entries Hoftstra and Central Connecticut State University.
