BETHLEHEM, Pa.--The Connecticut College men's cross country team placed 21st out of 40 teams in the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University Saturday.
The Camels competed in the Brown Race Saturday, taking on regionally ranked teams from Division III as well as numerous Division I and II schools.
With their 562 points, Head Coach Jim Butler's Camels finished ahead of several Division I schools, including Colgate (23rd Place), Niagara University (25) and Hofstra (31).
Sophomore Ben Bosworth (Dorchester, Mass.) posted a time of 26:08 on the 8k course to lead the Camels in 70th place. Patrick Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) placed 75th with a time of 26:11. Niall Williams (Scotia, N.Y.) was the third Camel scorer in 126th place with a time of 26:37.
Connor Trapp (Wilmette, Ill.) posted a time of 26:40 en route to a 132nd place finish for Connecticut College. Alejandro Hernandez (Miami, Fla.) completed the course in 27:04 to finish in 173rd place. Billy Barnes (New York, N.Y.) was the 210th finisher and sixth Camel scorer with a time of 27:24.
Raymond Rich-Fiondella (North Haven, Conn.) crossed the finish line in 27:42 to finish in 243rd place as the seventh Camel scorer.
