MIDDLEBURY, Vt.--The Connecticut College men's cross country team visited Middlebury College to compete in the 2014 New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship Saturday.
The Camels placed 10th in the 11 team field with a score of 268 points.
Williams College captured its 15th NESCAC Championship in the Green Mountain State, placing three of its runner among the top four with a score of 39 points.
Colby College scored 76 points to finish second while Middlebury took third place with a score of 80 points.
Connecticut College sophomore Ben Bosworth (Dorchester, Mass.) posted a time of 26:02 on the 8k course to lead the Camels in 21st place. Senior Niall Wiliams (Scotia, N.Y.) finished in 62nd place with a time of 26:43 for Head Coach Jim Butler's squad. Senior harrier Billy Barnes (New York, N.Y.) checked in with a time of 26:44 to finish in 64th place for the Camels.
Freshman Connor Trapp (Wilmette, Ill.) was 67th in the field for Connecticut College with a time of 26:48. Senior Patrick Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) registered a time of 27:12 to finish in 88th place. Sophomore Zander Mintz (East Windsor, N.J.) posted a time of 27:21 en route to his 94th place showing for the Camels.
Sophomore Alejandro Hernandez (Miami, Fla.) posted a time of 27:22 to finish in 95th place.
