Williams Leads Camels with Third Place Finish at Season Opening Trinty Invitational

MANCHESTER, Conn.--Senior Niall Williams (pictured, Scotia, N.Y.) posted a time of 16:43 on the 5k course at Wickham Park en route to his third place finish at the Trinity College Saturday, leading the Connecticut College Camels to a fourth place showing in the eight team field with a score of 65 points.

Trinity College scored 41 points to win its home invitational. The Coast Guard was second with 57 points. The Hawks from the University of Hartford place third with a score of 59 points.

Freshman Price Day (Harvard, Mass.) was the second Camel scorer in 11th place with a time of 17:04.  Camel rookies Kyle Hawk (Napa, Calif.) and Russell Adam (Cheshire, Conn.) placed 14th and 15th with the same official time of 17:12. Senior Dan Gossels (Sudbury, Mass.) posted a time of 17:29 in 22nd place. 

Junior Raymond-Rich Fiondella (North Haven, Conn.) was next for the Camels in 26th place with a time of 17:47.

Freshman Milo Cowles (Franklin, N.Y.) posted a time of 18:58 to finish in 60th  place as the seventh Camel finisher.
