Six Freshman Harriers Compete at Trinity Invitational

MANCHESTER, Conn. – Morgan Baughman paced a group of six freshmen who represented the Connecticut College men's cross country team at the Trinity Invitational on Saturday at Wickham Park. 

All six Camels covered the 5,000-meter circuit within 64 seconds of each other. Baughman finished in 17:41.8, which was good for 11th overall among a field consisting of 60 runners, to lead the way. John Fuller was 17th in 18:07.7 and Stuart Pollock placed 20th in 18:17. Adam Mullen and Ben Vazquez were the 24th and 25th harriers to cross the line in 18:23.7 and 18:33.9 to round out the top five.

Paced by first-place finisher Weyessa McAlister, Trinity won the meet with 22 points.

Connecticut College will send its full squad to the Purple Valley Invitational in Williamstown, Mass. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 12:10 p.m.
