BOSTON, Mass.--The Connecticut College sailing teams opened their seasons this weekend.
The Connecticut College women competed in the Toni Deutsch Regatta hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Camels scored 140 points to place third in the 13 team field. Brown University scored 114 points to win the regatta. Yale University placed second in the field with a score of 120 points.
Junior Charlotte List and freshman Gywnie Dunlevy scored 77 points to place seventh in the A Division when tie-breakers were applied. In the B division, junior skipper Allie Maurillo, freshman Ragna Agerup, Paige Dunlevy and Cecelia Morelli scored 43 points en route to their fourth place finish.
The Camel coed sailing team visited the Pine Tree State of Maine to compete in the Phil Harman Cup at Maine Maritime. Connecticut College scored 24 points to finish fourth in the eight team field. Bowdoin College scored 15 points to win the regatta. Junior skipper Walt Florio, Cooper Nefsky, Austin Smith and Treat Hardy all competed for the Camels.
