Camels Win Atlantic Coast Tournament

ANNAPOLIS, Md.--(Rob Migliaccio Photo) The Connecticut College coed sailing team scored 142 points to win the Atlantic Coast Tournament at the Naval Academy this weekend.

Brown and Cornell both finished tied for second in the 19 team field with 166 points each with the Brown Bears winning the head-to-head tie-breaker. 

Junior skipper Hugh MacGillivray and senior crew Eliza Garry scored 52 points to win the A division in a clutch performance for Connecticut College. In the B division, rookie skipper Carter Pemberton, Albert Rodiger and Paige Dunlevy scored 90 points to place fifth for the Camels.

At the Atlantic Coast Championship in Charleston, S.C., the Camel women placed eighth in the 18 team field with a score of 300 points. Rookie skipper Ragna Agerup, Erin Smith, Allie Maurillo and Cecilia Moreira scored 179 points en route to their 11th place showing in the A division. In the B division, junior skipper Charlotte List, Katie Rodger, Gwynie Dunlevy and Maurillo scored 121 points to finish in fifth place for the Camels.
