REISTERSTOWN, Md.—The Connecticut College women's hockey team skated to a 4-1 victory against Stevenson University in the second half of a non-conference series played Sunday.
Molly Murphy (Woodstock, Conn.) and Courtney Dumont (Yarmouth, Maine) both contributed with a goal and an assist as the Camels completed the sweep of the Mustangs. Shelley Moore (San Jose, Calif.) potted her third goal of the season and Caroline Corbett (Norwood, Mass.) netted her sixth of the year for the Camels. Junior Amy Leichliter (West Chester, Pa.) made 11 saves in the victory.
The Camels (12-9-1) out-shot the Mustangs 42-to-12 in the triumph and piled up 83 shots in the two game set.
Molly O'Neil (Aurora, Colo.) netted her sixth score of the season in the second period of action. Sarah Modzelewski (Bloomington, Ind.) made 38 saves in goal, finishing with 75 stops over the weekend for the hosts.
Connecticut College has qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament for the sixth straight season. The Camels will close out the regular season this coming weekend with a pair of home games against Williams College. The Camel and Ephs opened the two game series Friday night with a 7:00 p.m. face-off in Dayton Arena.
