NEW LONDON, Conn.--Kristen Maxwell (Nashville, Tenn.) stopped 27 of 28 shots to lead the Trinity College women's hockey team to a 2-1 triumph at Connecticut College Saturday.
The Bantams improve their record to 1-0-1 with the win, while the Camels fall to 0-1-1 with the setback. The two teams skated to a 1-1 draw Friday night.
Connecticut College senior forward Leah Kallen (Chicago, Ill.) potted a first period power play goal for the Camels.
But Trinity scored twice in the second. Emily Kleidon (Oakdale, Minn.) netted before Emma Tani (Orange, Calif.) put the Bantams on top for good.
The Camels out-shot Trinity 28-to-24 and closed out the weekend a perfect 10-for-10 on their penalty kill.
Kelsie Fralick (West Chester, Pa.) made 22 saves for the Camels.
