NEW LONDON, Conn.--Senior Olivia Farrell (New York, N.Y.) had a hat-trick to help lead the Connecticut College women's hockey team to a 5-1 victory against Stevenson University at Dayton Arena Saturday.
The Camels complete a two-game sweep against the Mustangs, improving their record to 4-2-2 with their third straight win. The Mustangs drop to 3-7-1 with the two losses this weekend.
Junior forward Shelley Moore (San Jose, Calif.) and first year defender Erin Sullivan (Verona, N.J.) both had goals for the Camels. Leah Kallen (Chicago, Ill.) and Ashley Anctil (Manchester, N.H.) contributed two assists each for the winning side.
Stevenson University sophomore Jesse Capanelli (Lancaster, Pa.) potted her third goal of the season in the third period of action for the visitors. Madison Lange (Califon, N.J.) assisted on the marker.
Sarah Modzelewski (Bloomington, Ind.) made 25 saves for the Mustangs to finish with 53 stops in the two game set.
Connecticut College out-shot the visitors 30-to-14 in the victory. The Camels successfully killed off five penalties Saturday and have now killed 27 consecutive penalties without being scored upon.
