Connecticut College 5, #9 Amherst College 4 Farrell (2 Goals), Fralick (43 Saves) Lead Camels to Victory

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Olivia Farrell scored her second goal of the night with 3:42 remaining in regulation and Kelsie Fralick had 43 saves to lead the Connecticut College women's hockey team to a 5-4 victory against Amherst College Friday night at Dayton Arena.

The Camels improve their record to 8-7-3 with a 3-5-3 mark in NESCAC play, while the ninth ranked Lord Jeffs fall to 9-5-3 with a 5-2-2 record in conference action. 

First year skater Ashley Anctil potted her third and fourth goals of the season for the winning side while classmate Cassie Hunter netted her third score of the year.

The Camels trailed 3-2 after two periods of play but took the lead for good with consecutive power play goals in the third period of action. 

Barrett McBride scored twice to lead the visiting Lord Jeffs. Melissa Martin and Erin Martin both supplied second period markers for Amherst.

Yuna Evans made six saves in the start for the visitors. Kerri Stuart finished with eight saves 29:29 of relief duty. 

Amherst out-shot the Camels 47-to-19 in the contest. But the Camels cashed in on their power play, converting two-of-three chances with the extra woman advantage.

The two teams will meet again here tomorrow afternoon for a 3:00 p.m. game.
