NEW LONDON, Conn.--Senior forward Natalie Bernstein (Kenilworth, Ill.) scored the equalizer with 8:26 remaining in the second period and put Williams College ahead for good with 13:44 remaining in regulation as the host Ephs held off Connecticut College in a 5-4 victory.
Williams improved to 10-5 with a 6-3 record in the NESCAC while the Camels fell to 7-6-1 with a 4-4-1 mark in conference action.
Junior forward Emily Krueger (Manasquan, N.J.) dished out three assists for the winning side. Sophomore Christina Cleroux (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia) turned aside 21 shots for the hosts.
Lily Connolly (pictured, Duxbury, Mass.) had a goal and an assist for the Camels. Paige Michel (Essex, Conn.), Steph Izzi (West Cornwall, Conn.) and Julie Beattie (Livonia, Mich.) all supplied scores for the Camels. Michaela Igo (Sandwich, Mass.) had two assists.
Junior Katherine Chester (Mendham, N.J.) made 28 saves in the loss.
The Camels Ephs will meet again tomorrow for a 3:00 p.m. game in Williamstown, Mass.
