HADLEY, Mass. – Connecticut College junior women's lacrosse midfielder Jamie Navoni (Natick, Mass.) has been named to the All-NESCAC Second Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. She is receiving the recognition for the first time of her career.
Navoni, who was also a captain and the leading scorer for the Camel field hockey program during the fall, led the women's lacrosse team in five of the six major statistical categories this past spring. The midfielder racked up 63 points on 55 goals and eight assists to go along with 87 draw controls, 43 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers. Navoni also currently ranks second in the conference in goals, tied for first in points, second in draw controls, first in ground balls and fifth in caused turnovers. She most notably exploded offensively to provide 11 goals and two helpers in a 17-11 non-conference win over Smith on Apr. 21.
Connecticut College is slated to return more than 15 letterwinners, including Navoni, as well as eight starters next season.
